The Appeal
The Pininfarina-designed and built 205 CTI was a masterstroke, delivering the verve of arguably the world’s greatest hot hatch with added wind-in-the-hair thrills, ones that could be shared with friends.
Today, with values of the GTI hard top skyrocketing, the CTI is a canny buy. Few were built with the torquier 1.9L XU9JA engine, but here we have one. It has covered just 80,000 miles and thanks to a recent refresh by Peugeot specialist Motowize it is in really sharp order.
The work included replacing the original black hood with a premium black Mohair unit, fitting a reconditioned starter motor and new exhaust and refurbishing the alloys. Recent Yokohama tyres were also fitted. The front seats have been retrimmed using correct factory fabrics.
Finished in white and looking very smart in the photos, this is a very good example of the rare 1.9 CTI. For added reassurance, the MOT runs to May 2026 with no advisories.
