The Appeal
While the R Type was, in essence, a stop-gap between the outgoing MkVI and the new S Series cars Crewe had planned, that doesn't diminish the fact that these were wonderful cars. Irrefutably elegant, well-engineered and exceedingly luxurious, the R Type is everything a Bentley should be.
Having been carefully stored away from harsh weather conditions by both current and previous owners, this R Type has clearly been cherished throughout its life. With recent mechanical attention, including a complete brake overhaul in 2022 and regular servicing by a former Bentley UK technician, this classic Bentley offers the opportunity to own a piece of British motoring heritage that's ready to be enjoyed.
The vendor summarises:
"It's a pleasure to drive, we love the car dearly, it's a head turner and admired when we are out."
