The Appeal
The OTS version of Jaguar’s XK was the closest to William Lyons’ vision and the one that secured the speed records that established its reputation as the supercar of its era. The final XK150 added more power and greater luxury, plus extra bright chromework, to make these cars formidable classic tourers.
This 1958 3.4L OTS has been set up for exactly that sort of use. It features speed-sensitive power steering plus improved brakes and cooling. Those upgrades were part of the car’s extensive restoration completed after three years work in 2016. That body-off work cost £51,000 in parts alone and involved specialists like Aldridge Trimming and Southern Axle Services.
The car spent the first part of its life in the USA, reputedly with pottery pioneer Charles Count, before turning to the UK in 2013. It is currently in Monaco.
The previous Monaco keeper commissioned further mechanical improvements through Prestige Motors of Vence, France. It was subsequently used, reliably, for journeys of up to 800 km. In 2024 it earned the highest overall grade from an independent inspection in June 2024.
Finished in bright red over a black leather interior with red piping, this is an XK150 OTS that is as well suited to spirited touring as it is to show admiration.

The odometer was replaced and recalibrated in kilometres by Limora in Germany; at the time of replacement it read 70,854 miles (approximately 114,000 km) and now shows approximately 2,200 km — the current reading does not reflect total mileage from new

- Red paintwork presenting well, with ceramic coating applied by Protech Monaco PPF to protect the bonnet engagement area
- Fully refurbished bright chrome throughout, including new MWS International 60-spoke chrome wheels

- New bonnet and tonneau cover reported in very good condition

The OTS body style offers a sleeker, simpler style to the more GT-orientated DHC. This car leans into the sporting theme with its ‘racing red’ paintwork, which is in very good condition. The body is equally well kept following that older body-off restoration, helped by cavity wax injection during the work.
The interior was retrimmed by well-regarded specialists as part of the renovation work. It features black leather with red piping to suite with the exterior.

This car is an early XK150 featuring the sweet-revving 3.4L displacement version of the XK straight six engine. We’re told that it is a matching numbers example. The mechanicals were extensively upgraded during the 2013-2016 restoration, and the car has subsequently received further investment.
The car is set up for touring use with the well-regarded EZ speed-sensitive power steering system. It also features upgrades cooling and brakes, and the suspension has been polybushed. The previous keeper used the car for regular 800km trips, reportedly without issue. An independent and glowing 2024 inspection report gives buyers added reassurance and is visible in the photos.
