The Appeal
1966 is the point when many Mustang enthusiasts believe the car really hit its stride. That’s when it got the iconic round dials and titivated exterior. Under the bonnet arrived the 289CI (4.7litre) C-Code engine, which pumped out 200bhp to deliver the sort of performance sports car fans craved.
This smart ‘66 has all those ingredients, finished off by a subtle and smart colour scheme. Recently imported from the USA it is in very good condition with evidence of a recent retrim. For enthusiasts of one of America’s motoring icons, this is a very well presented treat.
The History and Paperwork
- Recorded first registered on 1st January 1966 by the DVLA
- Chassis records show this is a 1966, Dearborn-built 2dr hard top with C-Code 2 barrel engine
- 1966 cars got new grilles, side ornamentation, wheel covers and revised round-dial interior
- Imported to the UK on 1st November 2021
- One registered keeper since arriving in the UK

- Factory-correct car retaining its 1966 modifications
- Finished in smart black with contrasting cream interior
- Bodywork and paintwork present well with no corrosion visible
- Exterior chrome complete and undamaged with good, bright finish
- Whitewall tyres with factory original 66-onwards wheel covers
