The Appeal
Alongside the Karmann Ghia which featured bodywork entirely built by the German coachbuilder, Karmann were also responsible for convertible variants of the standard Beetle. These have become the rarest and most desirable of surviving Beetles, and we're delighted to present this beautifully restored 1967 1500.
Five years ago the body and floor pan were separated in order to carry out extensive restoration work. All repairs, refurbishment and refinishing work was completed to a high standard resulting in a car that looks truly wonderful from every angle.
The bodywork has been refinished in a period-correct VW L87 off-white, while the interior has been retrimmed in beige VW square check vinyl. It continues to present superbly throughout. The hood fits correctly and is tight, ready for sunny drives. With recently overhauled brakes and good tyres, this Beetle is ready for the summer months.
