The appeal
Short, stocky and curvaceous, the Fiat 500 is the Italian microcar par excellence and remains one of the most iconic symbols of the transalpine automobile. Its raspy sound, lively performance and small, easy-to-maintain engine made it the ideal city car during the Italian "economic miracle", and it continues to seduce enthusiasts the world over.
This 1970 example is absolutely charming, catching the eye with its rare Giallo Positano yellow colour, which perfectly matches the car's playful character. Extensively restored in 2020, this 500 has since led a quiet life, with very few kilometres driven since the rebuild.
And to make matters more interesting, it has been fitted with a more powerful 650cc engine from a Fiat 126 - making it a little more at home in modern traffic.20250531_123001 Sophie Salmon Gautier.jpg4.57 MB
