The Appeal

While the current design of BMW cars is often rather controversial, fuelling heated discussions between detractors and supporters, there were years when Bavarian sports cars offered undeniably attractive lines.

The E9 designed by Paul Bracq is perhaps BMW's absolute masterpiece. Its distinctive profile and unmistakable 'shark nose' are simply stunning, and are perfectly matched by an exceptional powertrain. The 3.0-litre straight-six put it ahead of its competitors and made it capable of competing with the best sports cars of the time thanks to its remarkable 180 hp output.

This 1972 automatic transmission example is in fantastic condition and truly looks like an ideal GT for long journeys on roads all over Europe. The vendor has assured us that this car has always been carefully maintained and is very pleasant to drive as a result. The MOT was recently renewed and is valid until February 2027.
