The Appeal
Summed up by respected journalist Alastair Walker as a “scarily fast, no holds barred motorcycle”, the Kawasaki H2 drew the curtain on the once dominant British bike industry and proved that two-stroke Japanese superbikes were here to stay. The H2 gained something of a reputation in its day, regarded as a “widowmaker” in some circles, with incredible reserves of power on tap from its three-cylinder engine.
This 1973 example was imported from Illinois in 2023 and is now UK rod registered. Reportedly well maintained in previous ownership, it remains a mechanically healthy example and will be supplied to its next owner with a fresh MOT and service. It looks to have been rebuilt in the past and benefits from a recent respray in period-correct Candytone Purple paint.
Well presented and ready to enjoy, this Kawasaki would be a great addition to any collection.
