The Appeal
The Midget is practically the keystone of the ever-enduring British sports car. These roadsters are lightweight, nimble, and offer a good jolt of power to deliver genuine thrills - plus, thanks to MG's obsession with standardisation, parts are cheap and plentiful. This 1973 example benefits from a comprehensive rebuild on a British Motor Heritage shell in 1991, and still holds up very nicely.
Having undergone a further mechanical refurbishment carried out between 2017 and 2023, it's a largely factory-standard car that's ready and waiting to be driven away, with a remarkably low mileage having been covered since '91. It's bound to get the attention of any enthusiast - and deservedly so.

✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.
