The Attractions
The latest evolution of the Beetle has not upset its winning formula. These newer models had curved windscreens and more precise steering, but still possessed all the original charm and appeal.
The convertible version made by Karmann proved to be particularly popular, offering buyers a convertible of great quality built with great care and designed to the same standards as much more expensive cars. It could accommodate four people and was rich in refined details such as opening rear windows.
This delightful cream-coloured Karmann is a very special car. It is an original and never restored example, with a body in excellent condition and a brown vinyl upholstered interior that is particularly well preserved. Its condition testifies to the great care with which it has been maintained by its only two previous owners, who have driven it less than 70,000 km in its almost 40 years of life.
These are classic cars of great charm but at the same time practical and very usable, and this example is offered for sale with a newly renewed overhaul, which further confirms its reliability. A real gem for collectors.

- Original cream-coloured paintwork in very good condition
- The paintwork has received only minor localised touch-ups over the years
- Bodywork in very good condition, solid and correct, with excellent panel alignment
- Exterior trim such as chrome, badges and headlights all appear to be in excellent condition
- The black vinyl soft top appears well maintained and free of visible damage, and we have been told that it works properly
- Windows in good condition with the typical curved windscreen of late Beetles
- Side windows, and particularly the rear windows, function correctly as shown Car true to original specification and unmodified, retaining its steel wheels with chrome wheel covers
- Wheels and wheel covers are in excellent condition and some spares are supplied as shown in the photos
- Retains its original features, such as the side running boards and chrome wheel guards on the rear wheel arches
- Tyres all in good condition, well maintained and with plenty of residual tread
- Underbody appears to be in very good condition, with evidence of protective treatment
- Leather-coloured vinyl upholstered interior in very good condition, with no obvious traces of their age
- There is a small mark on the driver's seat, not particularly noticeable
