Inspired by the early days of Mercedes-Benz and powered by a big Corvette V8, it's fair to say that Excalibur cars are extraordinary symbols of the 1970s - and that era's love of pure excess. This retro style has been exaggerated to the extreme, to the point where the car has taken on a very distinctive look.

Steve McQueen, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jay Leno were all proud owners of the Excalibur Phaeton, which became a Hollywood icon - all the more impressive given that only 3,166 were produced by the company. It's an incredibly eccentric, flamboyant and singular piece of automotive history - with a long wheelbase, flowing pre-war lines and an astonishingly high top speed.

This attractive example has been in the current owner's possession for over 16 years and has been well maintained, so much so that it underwent an engine replacement in 2005 and major suspension work in 2002. As part of a highly prized collection, this impressive Phaeton is ready to charm its new and happy owner.
