The Appeal

Part of the original Land Rover's ingenious design was its modular nature. Consisting of  aluminium panels bolted onto a steel chassis and bulkhead. That means Land Rovers can easily be adapted for a multitude of applications; be that station wagon, recovery truck, pickup, van, mobile welding unit - the list goes on and on. This 1980 Series III 109” is a two-door long-wheelbase model currently being enjoyed as a convertible, although a hard top, complete with rear door, is supplied for when the English weather takes its inevitable turn for the worse.

Longitudinal rear bench seats have been added, increasing passenger capacity, while the bodywork has been refinished in a jolly Speedwell Blue, complemented by a set of white Weller wheels. It's ready for off-road adventures thanks to a front-mounted winch, while several aspects of the vehicle such as the lights have been upgraded to enhance their usability.

The vendor has carried out recent recommissioning work, ensuring the Land Rover is ready for its new custodian to enjoy.
