The Appeal

The brilliance of the R107 roadster tends to overshadow the less populous SLC, but that means we risk missing another great Mercedes-Benz sports car. Longer and therefore more svelte than its convertible cousin, and with neat details like a pillarless profile, the SLC is a seriously good classic GT and perfect for events and rallies. 
It is rare to find a SLC as good as this one. Beautifully finished in Champagne metallic with a recently retrimmed cream leather cabin, it is a handsome example. It is well specified too, featuring Mexican Hat alloys - with gold centre caps - and a large sliding sunroof. It has the M110 straight six 185bhp 2.8L engine that offers a decent blend of performance and economy for your road trip. 
The vendor acquired the car in 1997 and it has had just two previous keepers. Supplied with a good history file including stamped service book and old invoices, it has clearly been looked after. It is now usefully MOT exempt but there is a recent test from 2023 that shows no advisories. The car has only covered 600 miles since the test.
