The Appeal
The 2CV was the trailblazer, but it was arguably the ‘Quatrelle’ that perfected the idea of a simple, spacious, inexpensive and rugged French family wagon. With clever front wheel drive and an versatile hatchback, it trumped Citroen’s classic in almost every area.
Good survivors, however, are a rarity today. Especially when they are as original and preserved as this 4TL. It is one of the Spanish-built cars with the 845cc engine. Finished in white with a tan fabric and vinyl interior, it is solid and very presentable with the sort of characterful patina you want in a usable classic.

- Displays some patina and age to bodywork and interior
- White paintwork with some age marks and scuffs to note
- These include door posts and inner side of tailgate
- A few signs of use to bodywork such as dents to front and rear driver’s side wings
- Sits on steel wheels with some tarnish to rims
- Matching spare wheel included
- Front and rear bumpers in fair condition likewise grille and badges
- Tan vinyl and fabric interior in good condition
- Original interior shows some age to trim and door surrounds
- Retains its rear parcel shelf as shown
- Headlining and other fittings show some age which can be checked in photos
