The Appeal
The E24 is from that era of BMW when the firm made brilliance look effortless. Crisp shark-nosed styling, sonorous straight six power and luxury 2+2 cabins made these cars popular in period and now perfect for modern enthusiasts who enjoy driving, whatever the distance.
The one you want is the 635CSI with Munich’s 3.4L M30 engine. It’s good for 185bhp in early models like this one, the extra power and bigger engine discreetly conveyed to passersby via subtle badging and a small rear spoiler.
This car has covered low miles for the year - less than 94,000 miles - and is finished in the classic combination of Alpinweiss with black leather cabin. The car is in good cosmetic condition inside and out. The current keeper acquired it eight years ago and has entrusted the servicing and maintenance to well-known Munich Legends.
There are a few minor points to note but the car comes to market with the reassurance of a long MOT to January 2026. It could be the car’s last as it is eligible for Historic Vehicle status from 1st April.
