The Appeal
Launched at the dawn of the sixties with production spanning a little over four decades, Toyota brought us the J40 Series Land Cruiser. Popular amongst enthusiasts for its offroad prowess and reliability, the J40 became a global success for the brand across its various guises.
We are proud to bring to auction this smart example of an HJ47 pickup. Recently refreshed, both mechanically and cosmetically in 2023, this HJ47 has also been treated to worthwhile upgrades such as power steering and airconditioning.
Recently imported from South Africa in 2024, the HJ47 is also fitted with the 12H 4.0L turbo diesel engine from the HJ61/ 60 Series VX and twinned with a five-speed manual gearbox from an HJ61/ FJ75.
With an advisory free MOT until December 2025, even with its exemption, and a rare example to find in the UK, this a great opportunity to own a ‘ready to go’ slice of Toyota heritage.
