The Appeal

The five litre V8 500SL is perhaps the most R107 version of the R107. These cars are all about effortless cruising and nothing is quite as relaxing as a gently burbling 240bhp 500SL.
This lovely Midnight Blue metallic example is one of the desirable galvanised cars and matches the stylish paintwork with a smart grey leather cabin, dark blue roof and well kept hard top. It has clearly been looked after, the thick history file including work by The SL Shop and a recent service less than 2,000 miles ago. 
The sheer usability and sense of reward expressed by a good R107 explains why these cars are so popular with buyers. This is a good one, a point underscored by its long, advisory-free MOT.

  • This includes light carpet staining, driver’s light bolster wear and discolouration of driver’s door rest
  • No rips or tears in the interior and the vendor informs us that it is in excellent condition
  • Cabin veneers are well kept with only light aging to centre console trim as is typical of model
  • Fitted with period-correct Blaupunkt Coburg radio cassette system 
  • No reports of electrical or other malfunctions with interior fittings and equipment 
  • Dashboard presents well with no reported cracks or damage
