The Appeal
If you’re after the ultimate classic grand tourer, one that you can reliably use for any long trip, then you want a XJS V12 Convertible. Long, low and handsomely styled, with generous helpings of wood, chrome and leather, these cars are as quiet as they are effortless.
This 1990 pre-facelift V12 retains the chrome bumpers of the mid-period cars and spent its life in the USA before arriving in Europe recently. Finished in silver metallic with a matching grey leather interior and complementary blue roof, it is a low mileage car for the year with under 114,000 miles from new.
There are a few points to note on the paintwork in the photos, but the interior presents well with little wear. The car will require some attention to the gearbox before using on the road.
