The Appeal
The surprising success of Mazda’s MX5 was good news for sports car enthusiasts. Particularly passionate Alfisti because it meant one last throw of the dice for Alfa Romeo’s long lived and much loved 105 Series Spider.
The Series 4 was much more than just a hasty response. Comprehensively redesigned by Pininfarina and equipped with modern fuel injection, it cleverly looked both forwards and backwards, offering retro style with modern performance.
21,597 were built by Pininfarina over four years, including just 2,768 with the rare '1588' engine code. UK buyers had the option of a RHD conversion by Alfa Romeo specialists Bell & Colville or one by Seaking.
This comprehensively restored car is a Bell & Colville conversion with the 1588 2litre fuel injected engine. Repainted in Grigio Grey metallic in 2020 and fitted with popular Alfaholics GTA alloys, it is a very pretty example indeed. Great history and a long MOT ensure it looks very ready for 2024 drop top drives.

- Hull ‘DAT’ registration suffix indicates that this car was converted by Ellison of Hull for Bell & Colville
