The Appeal
It’s hard to overstate a Rolls-Royce, no matter its era, but the 2nd generation Silver Spirits were particularly superb. The introduction of Automatic Ride Control, anti-lock braking and fuel injection all made for a gentle overhaul of the already impressive vehicle into a new generation of comfort and practicality.
This example is in fine fettle throughout, and a bound head turner thanks to its desirable finish and elegant interior spec. Gently reminiscent of Rolls’ heritage, this is a great opportunity to get your hands on a bonafide modern classic.

The Interior
- Beautifully appointed interior in cream leather, burr walnut and royal blue
- Fine cream leather seating shows a texture to the seat pads, but no scuffs or tears
- Very well-kept dashboard and centre console in burr walnut
- Gauges and instruments are all clean and reportedly working as expected
- Leather-wrapped steering wheel shows very little wear
- All interior chromework appears to be bright and in good order
- Original radio
- Full air conditioning
- Rear vanity mirrors with lighting
- CD player fitted in lower panel
- Thick blue carpets in footwells, that appear to be aftermarket additions
- Navy blue carpeting elsewhere in good condition
- Blue carpeted boot with cream piping in excellent order
- Overall, a very well-presented interior throughout with minimal signs of wear
The Exterior
- Finished in factory-spec Metallic Blue with chrome
- Paintwork largely in good order, with some stone chips
- No signs of major paint loss, blistering or corrosion that we can spot
- Lower plastic skirts showing some signs of wear
- Left hand of from plastic bumper has come slightly out of line
- Chrome appears to be in good order, with a slight patina in line with age
- Rolls-Royce branding all present and correct
- Wheels look to be in very good condition
- Tyres appear to be a little low on air, and we’re not informed of their condition
- Underside of car shows surface corrosion throughout, but nothing structural that we can discern
The Mechanics
- Powered by the mighty 6.7L L410I V8 Powerplant - providing a hefty 530BHP
- 4-speed GM 4L80E automatic gearbox
- Engine bay looks to be in good order with no major faults we can discern
- No reports of leaks, bangs, knocks or excessive smoke
- Car reportedly drives as expected with no issues
- Recent MOT passed with no advisories
Summary
With its clean bill of health, excellent interior condition and that all-important V8 engine, this Silver Spirit is an excellent example of the brand’s luxury through and through.
