One of the last airhead boxers to ever wear a roundel on the tank. The R100R was produced between 1991 and 1995 with only 20,898 examples produced - a shaft driven, air-cooled sports tourer that refuses to fade away, branded the sports bike for grown ups.
This example has been well loved and equally well travelled with over 124-thousand miles on the clocks. Used properly, then, and rightly so! A loved bike such as this presents ample paperwork to prove the mechanical work over the years of use, and this example has had the engine and gearbox overhauled, as well as the front forks. A worthwhile addition to anyone's fleet. GUApn927rKZWPspVaxdgyvOPT8neON06thP0VQLU.jpg586.7 KB

Headlamp and indicators remain completely functional and free from any damage the brackets which hold them both show some gentle patina from small paint chips
Brightwork throughout appears to be well presented with n noticeable pitting, the current keeper notes that the previous owner had the bike detailed some years ago which may have aided the brightwork longevity
No noticeable corrosion anywhere on the bike, all of the frame appears well maintain with no dents or cracks to be seen
Both front and rear wheels are well presented with only gentle signs of ge, no apparent damage to be noted and both shod in tyres with plenty of life left
Shroud around the speedometer appears to have been repainted or touched up at some point
Both gauges remain fully functional and easy to read
R100R’s are an absolute joy to ride, this was the point where BMW were just starting to get involved with new school technology and ditching air-cooled engines, this piece of German engineering is one of the last of its kind. Not only making it a great conversational piece, but also has great potential for becoming a valuable asset, as some of the older air-cooled Germans seem to be going that way.
