The Appeal
It does have four doors, but there is a strong case to argue that BMW’s E39 is really a sports car in disguise. Firmly imbued with the firm’s ‘ultimate driving machine’ ethos, this model is highly regarded because it came at a sweet spot in the firm’s development when technology worked alongside rather than replacing driver engagement.
