The Attractions
Created in response to the great success of small two-seater sports cars following the launch of the MX5, the dynamic spider offered by Mercedes-Benz proved particularly attractive. The SLK R170 combined the high level of engineering of the larger SL with an original and pleasing sporty and compact design and, of course, the iconic and innovative folding hardtop.
A comprehensive and attractive range of engines offered buyers a combination of the SL's popular long-haul capabilities and well-balanced responsiveness. The version favoured by many buyers today is the SLK230 with its supercharged 2.3-litre four-cylinder engine capable of 190 hp.
This low-mileage R170 is equipped with that powerful engine and the popular automatic transmission that can be used in both fully automatic and sequential modes.
It is also enhanced by numerous AMG trims and accessories that make it stand out from the other SLKs.
Rarely driven by its current owner who acquired it in 2019, this well-equipped R170 is offered in excellent condition and ready to be enjoyed.
