The Appeal
Later Evos are faster, but enthusiasts know that, after the VI, they aren’t necessarily better. The sixth generation was the last based on the lighter, second generation bodyshell and the last pure homologation Evo. No surprise then that it is one of Evo magazine’s 25 favourite cars.
The key when buying one of these rally-to-road rockets is maintenance. This car spent its life on the salt-free roads of Japan before being imported here by the seller in 2021. It comes with a raft of history to support its low mileage in Japan. It was stored between 2021 and 2023, when the vendor gave it to GR Performance for a full service, check over and overhaul. It now runs 370bhp following a remap.
The very good condition inside and out supports the low mileage and enthusiast ownership. It is also supported by the advisory-free MOT to the end of September.
