THE HISTORY AND PAPERWORK

• Registered on the 1st July 1977
• Current MOT valid until 16th May 2024
• The recent MOT was passed with no advisories
• Original owners manuals are present 
• Two keys 
• Purchased new by the vendor in 2000
• Registration W1 VOM included with the sale
• Extensive body restoration carried out in 2021
• Fully serviced until 2010 and then well maintained with regular oil changes
• Invoices show the extensive bodywork repairs totalling £5,700 

THE INTERIOR

• Well-presented interior with original features
• Cashmere leather trim 
• Front seats are electric, heated and working correctly
• The leather on the driver’s seat does have some age-related cracking in keeping with the age of the XKR
• The passenger and rear seats are in good condition
• Both door cards are in relatively good condition. There are a couple of scuff marks and a small nick on the passenger side
• The dashboard is finished in the same colour trim and is free from any damage
• A walnut fascia completes the dashboard, which is in good condition and has no crazing to the lacquered finish
• The instruments are working correctly, with no warning lights displayed when the car is running 
• 81,901 miles are showing on the odometer, but the correct mileage reported by the vendor is 101,217 miles
• The switchgear has a small amount of wear in places but is said to work correctly
• The Jaguar is said to have Bluetooth connectivity
• Unfortunately, the air conditioning does not work
• Cruise control operates as you would expect
• The original radio cassette is in place and connected to a boot-mounted CD multi-changer
• Inside the boot is clean and tidy
• The space-saver spare wheel is present

THE EXTERIOR

• Finished in Topaz Metallic 
• The Jaguar has undergone an extensive amount of bodywork to remove several areas of corrosion
• The full list of parts fitted can be seen in the gallery, but some of the main areas to receive new panels include:
  • Both rear quarter panels, including sills 
  • Both sides inner boot box section
  • Both front lower sills 
  • 2 x floor pans 
  • Both inner rear wheel arches 
  • New front wings
• The panels appear to align well, with an equal panel gap on each side
• There are some blemishes in the paintwork, which can be seen in the images
• Headlights and lower fog lights are in good condition
• Front and rear parking sensors fitted 
• Windows are in good condition with no noticeable scratches
• The gunmetal window trims are in good order, and some of these have been replaced during the body restoration
• There is a small split in the driver’s side rear light
• The original wheels were refurbished in April 2023, and are, therefore, in excellent condition
• Tyres are different makes but have a good number of miles left on them

THE MECHANICS

• 4.0 litre Supercharged V8
• 370bhp and 0-60mph in 5.2 seconds
• Five-speed automatic gearbox
• The engine is reported to start up without hesitation, and no issues have been reported
• The suspension has the usual surface corrosion in keeping with the age and mileage 
• No knocks or bangs are said to be coming from either corner of the car
• The brakes bring the car to a stop as you would expect, with no problems reported
