The Appeal

Enjoying a 25-year production run, the immensely successful Lotus Elise is widely regarded as one of Hethel’s most accomplished sports cars. The Elise would come to define Romano Artioli’s custodianship of the Lotus brand and the project was so dear to him that it’s named after his granddaughter.

We’re delighted to offer one of the most sought-after Elises - a 2000 ‘Type 49’. Just 135 were made and they paid homage to the legendary Type 49 Formula 1 car which was one of the most successful cars in the history of the sport. Our example is in good, original condition and displays only 38,809 miles on the odometer.

The last owner acquired the car in 2008 and as is not uncommon for cars of this sort, it’s been enjoyed sparingly and kept off the road since the MOT expired in April 2019 but will come to the new owner with a full 12 months MOT.
