THE EXTERIOR

• Indigo Blue Pearl paintwork looks nothing short of fantastic. The paint work has very few imperfections, if any and looks incredible for its age. 
• The car is fitted with the various badges that have been placed around the exterior. All the badges present well with no defects that we saw.
• The body panels look nice and straight with no signs of damage or corrosion that we noticed, which reflects how well cared for this vehicle has been over the years.
• Panel gaps look nice and even.
• Headlight lenses are crystal clear and present cleanly. They are free from sun damage, as are the rear light lenses. 
• Volkswagen branding is present and correct and shows no signs of aging or pitting at all.
• Glass and trim around the car is inline with the rest of the vehicle.
• Genuine VW ‘Santa Monica’ alloy wheels present in exceptional condition. 
• Brand new Goodyear Eagle F1’s fitted with correct 225/45/17 extra load tyres.
• VW contoured Mudflaps are fitted to the front and rear of the vehicle. 
• Underbody Waxoil application was applied from new with a refresh being carried out in 2013 to protect against the elements.
• The Golf has been garaged stored its entire life. 

THE MECHANICS 

• 2.8 V6 24v double over head cam (DOHC) engine. 
• Six-speed manual gearbox.
• The six-cylinder engine produces 204BHP and will do 0-62mph in sub seven seconds.
• Added benefit of 4Motion (4WD) system.
• Electronic Diff lock is another optional extra that is supplied and fitted to the Golf.
• Turn the key and away you go. This VW Golf runs and drive as it should do with the engine idle being lovely and smooth with no known faults or issues. 
• The vendor reports that under load the engine performs beautifully with the engine performing flawlessly.
• The engine bay is presented well and shows no signs of any fluid leaks that we saw.
