The Appeal
Beautiful aesthetics and powerful performance have always been Aston Martin's way and there’s no exception with their glorious DB7. What initially started as a Jaguar was transformed into Aston's handcrafted, highly capable Grand Tourer.
Built between 1994 and 2004 Aston produced 7,000 DB7s with only 1,786 being Volantes, which paired open-top enjoyment with impeccable Aston design and engineering. Presented in excellent condition inside and out, this 2001 registered example has been impeccably cared for by all owners and features a high level of specification.
Resplendent in the attractive hue of Mendip Blue Metallic, which is complemented by a cream leather interior and burr walnut inlays, this Aston really looks the part and remains a highly original example. It's a fine specimen mechanically too, befitting from a lifetime of judicious maintenance and copious recent expenditure. Seldom have we seen such a healthy, well preserved and usable example.

An Aston wouldn’t be an Aston without something special under the bonnet and in the DB7s case, there's something regarded as one of the best British-built engines to ever be produced. Specially developed and hand-built the V12 is a ferocious but refined powerplant that will propel car and driver to 60 mph in just over 5 seconds.
It's a joy to experience especially as a driver, feeling and hearing that V12 raise up through the revs. The car is reported to be in excellent running order which is supported by a recent advisory free MOT and has covered very few miles in the last few years. It was last serviced in May 2023 by Aston Martin specialist Pugsley & Lewis.
Summary
A beautiful British grand-tourer, equipped with one the best British engines ever built, the DB7 is a great car and a true Aston. The open-top Volante element brings the forever enjoyed roadster element, allowing for an even better experience.
With only 1,786 produced and classic Aston's popularity continuing to grow, this makes for a tempting purchase.
