The Appeal
If the Golf is all the car you ever need, then the 996 is surely all the modern classic you could ever want. These hugely capable and entertaining cars are also easy to live with thanks to comfortable, practical cabins and thoroughly sorted mechanicals.
This Sterling Silver example is one of the lowest mileage 996s we’ve seen in recent times. It has covered barely more than 56,000 miles in its 22 years yet been regularly serviced at least every 5,000 miles. The condition inside and out is impressive, with few signs of wear, including to the upgraded factory sports bucket seats. It is the later 3.6L car with the versatile Tiptronic box, giving it sporting or GT sensibilities.
Recent maintenance includes a service prior to sale, refurbished alloys and calipers and new discs and pads. The MOT history is very impressive with few advisories and current test to June 2025. A great example of a very usable sports car.
