The Appeal
Like the E-Type that inspired it, the evolution of Nissan’s Z car traced a move towards a more relaxed, GT-focussed theme. The arrival of the Z32 300ZX in 1986 began to rectify that, but it was the 350Z of 2002 that really reset the Z as a sports car.
The 350Z had the nimble set up and the twin-turbocharged urge to win back sports car buyers. Although the standard car was no slouch, enthusiasts have made an art of extracting more performance and improved handling from this crisply styled coupe.
This 2004 example leans into that but wisely keeps its 400+bhp capabilities hidden under a stock exterior. Only smart 18in NISMO five spokes hint at its potency. Recently fettled by the seller, this low owner, low mileage 350Z looks very capable and entertaining.
