The Appeal

We’re not surprised to hear that this Amazon has proved utterly reliable over 130,000 miles since the vendor acquired it in 2009. The original ‘Grand Cruiser’ J100 set the benchmark for rugged and durable 4x4 go-anywhere trucks. With 160,000 miles on the clock, its 4.2L engine is barely run in.

That motor is the later and more powerful 1HD-FTE, adding a further reason to consider this very tidy example. Inside and out it presents well for a 21 year old 4x4, only the driver’s seat betraying any real sense of use, which would be easily remedied.

Recent maintenance has included a service in August 2025 and undersealing in Febriuary 2026. Earlier in 2025 it received welding and remedial paintwork while in 2024 the brake discs and pads and some hoses were replaced. It comes to market with the current tyre set plus a set of four winter/off road rubber.

With lengthy MOT to January 2027, this seven seat limousine workhorse has plenty of life left in it.
