The Appeal
Ford tried something very different with the Ka. The firm’s late 90s arrival on the supermini market aimed to do something similar to the original Mini with a stylish car that broke the usual hatchback mould.
The design took the ethos of the original Citroen DS, namely that every component looked recognisable from the Ka. It was a notable success and its successors remain in production today. The ‘Collection’ model aimed to be build on the design-led theme with a stylish alternative to the more established trim levels.
This car is rightly described by the seller as ‘one of a kind.’ It has covered a mere 1,300 miles from new, thanks to being dry stored for all of its life. It has been regularly MOT’d during that time but remains essentially as a ‘brand new’ example that is barely differentiated from a showroom-fresh 2006 Ka.
The vendor has serviced and MOT’d the car ready for sale. It looks set for a starring role at the next Festival of the Unexceptional.
