The Appeal
The fifth generation of Maserati’s simply but evocatively named saloon was a firm reboot and a series return to form. Taking engineering cues and its engine from Ferrari and styled by Pininfarina, the new car had impeccable pedigree.
And it delivered too, selling in healthy volumes to those who wanted something a little different to and more engaging than a 7-Series or S-Class. The Sport GT arrived to further distance the Quattroporte from its competitors, introducing sharper handling, more luxury and a reconfigured, faster-shifting ZF gearbox.
This Sport GT was supplied by Meridien Modena to its first - and only - keeper in March 2008. He specified it well - the mix of Grigio Granito and beige leather works well - and has clearly looked after it. It has been regularly serviced, first by Meridien and then by Motorline Maserati - and always garaged throughout its life.
The result of that care is obvious looking around this low mileage car. The paintwork is original and looks barely aged while the interior has held up extremely well for a low volume, hand-built car. The vendor reports that it runs quietly and smoothly and everything works.
The car comes to market with a fresh oil and filter change and a long, advisory-free MOT to January 2026.

The Condition
- Attractive Grigio Granito paintwork is both original and very well kept
- Vendor reports that the paintwork is ‘like new’ and there is ‘not a mark anywhere’
- Due to the age of the car buyers should anticipate some very minor paintwork aging
- Bodywork presents well with straight, corrosion-free panels and good panel fit
- We have no reports of accident damage from vendor or HPI checks
- Exterior fittings including chrome, lights and glass present well with clear, bright finish
- Alloy wheels in good order with 19in rims showing only minor marks and usage
- Fitted with quality Pirelli tyres that show good sidewall condition and tread depth
- Underside in good order with no structural advisories on current MOT
- High specification and well appointed beige leather interior with burr walnut veneers
- Interior presents very well with few indications of use as shown in photos
- There are some minor imperfections typical of this model but these are not significant
- These include scuffs to switchgear and slightly sticky switches reported by seller
- Vendor also advises some peel to rear right hand door trim and chip in wood on front left hand door trim
- There is also slight bolster wear to driver’s seat typical of age and mileage of car
- These points do not immediately draw the eye or detract from the interior ambiance
- We understand that all the electrical features work correctly and there are no warning lights
