The Appeal
The Ferrari F430 F1 Coupe is a car that needs little introduction. Arguably one of Ferrari's best 2 door, mid-rear engine coupes to date. Following on from the 360, many felt Ferrari were ahead of the game after the release of the F430. The gorgeous styling which took inspiration from the 360, was carried out by none other than Frank Stephenson in collaboration with Pininfarina, putting a focus on aerodynamic efficiency. The 4.3 litre V8 was the first not to descend from the Dino engine format, a big decision at the time but one that proved fruitful.
Ferrari were able to increase displacement by 20% whilst only gaining 4kg in weight, furthermore parts such as the cylinder head and intake trumpets were taken from their Formula 1 engines, certainly a point not many other vehicles are able to claim! Various specifications were available during the 5-year production run, with the F1 Coupe often being more desirable due to the paddle shift Graziano gearbox, slightly lower weight and marginally faster top speed over the spider model.

The Interior

The interior of this F430 F1 Coupe has been well looked after. The leather and trim are absent of any rips, tears or cracks. Both seats are in very good condition with only the slightest sign of wear on the driver's seat side bolster. Both front seats have electric adjustment as well as a manual lever to move both seats forward and access the storage area behind.
The carpet is in good condition overall with some signs of wear and discolouration mainly in both footwells. We are told all interior features work as should. The glove box includes the original Ferrari spotlight as well as phone connectivity. The boot is in very condition with the original tool kit, warning triangle and Ferrari tyre pump all present.

The Exterior

The colourway of this Ferrari has been tastefully configured ensuring it will turn heads without being overstated. Overall, the paintwork has remained in very good condition, in part thanks to the PPF that may need addressing as it is starting to peel around the front bumper. There are some stone chips and scuffs in the usual areas but nothing that will require major work to rectify. The paint has also started to peel on the underside of the boot lid which is only noticeable when inspecting closely.
Similarly, there is some slight bubbling of the paint around the front prancing horse logo as well as a scratch on the PPF, it is unknown whether this scratch has gone through to the paintwork. The black alloys are in excellent condition, matching the condition of the red brake callipers. It is worth noting the driver’s side wing mirror has the F430 branding whilst the passenger side wing mirror is plain. Finally, there is a full matching set of Pirelli P Zero tyres in excellent condition with plenty of tread, giving the new owner peace of mind.

Mechanically this vehicle has been well maintained and since arriving the UK has been serviced regularly. The front upper and lower ball joints on both sides were also recently replaced. The owner informs us that there is no engine knocking, smoke or other tell-tale signs. The engine and engine bay of this F430 really are a work of art, presenting an engineering marvel marked by the iconic Ferrari inlet manifold. The seller also states that the gearbox works and changes gear as it should.
The car drives and stops well thanks to the carbon ceramic brakes, with good linear power delivery while accelerating. A recent full service can be seen in the paperwork and there are no warning lights illuminated on the dash. The underside of this example is in a good, tidy condition. There is some very minor perishing of rubber around the jubilee clips on the inlet manifold, this is only noticeable from a very close distance but may require attention in the future.
