This is a matching numbers Jaguar E-Type Series 2 2+2 still in its original colours of Regency Red with Beige leather trim. The car has a structurally exceptional bodyshell and was brought over to the UK from the USA in 1990 and dry stored until a restoration program was undertaken on behalf of a leading Motor Group Chairman and classic car collector.
From 1999 to 2002 the E-Type was professionally converted to RHD and restored/ re-commissioned as required by specialists based in the North East. The excellent bodyshell did not require any metal work and was treated to a full re-paint and fitted up with some new chrome and a new set of chrome wire wheels. The interior was subject of some re-trimming work and the Jaguar was mechanically re-commissioned with new brakes, suspension overhaul, new steering system as part of the RHD conversion, gearbox overhaul and the engine rebuild.
Since completion in 2002, the E-Type has covered less than 1000 miles and has been dry stored and very occasionally taken out on the road. On arrival with us, our workshops have inspected the car and we can report the car has an excellent, strong and fit engine and gearbox having been rebuilt so few miles ago. APY 35G will be sold with 12 months MOT, freshly serviced and is an excellent strong driver that presents very well throughout.
