This 1996 993 Targa has an impressive history and an equally fine specification.
There’s paperwork and stamps for 23 services, plus a folder of invoices, receipts and MOT certificates.
Unusually optioned with 12-way electrically adjustable and heated black leather seats.
The leather continues throughout the interior, extending over the dash, centre console and door panels.
Cruise control, air conditioning and onboard computer.
Gleaming black exterior, wearing its correct 17 inch Targa alloy wheels.
Entertainment comes via a Kenwood audio system, with built-in Bluetooth connection for hands-free calls and music streaming.
A 993 Targa offers the best of both worlds; coupe aesthetics, but at the touch of a button, open top motoring.
Why they were so rarely ordered is a mystery, probably to do with the cost. However, in today’s market, these classic 911 have a lot to offer the enthusiast.
The soundtrack comes courtesy of the fabulous Varioram air cooled 3. 6, with a relaxing and easy drive via the smooth Tiptronic transmission.
