Engine 2. 0L Ford BDG (Richardson)
Originally one of two cars delivered new to Monzeglio in Italy, raced at Monza, Spa and in the 1974 Targa Florio.
Restored in the ‘90s by Peter Denty and used by John Shipman to win the RJB Supersports championship. Developed by Shipman and Mark Hales and used in international historics including Oldtimer GP and VdeV.
Specification includes the following:
2 Liter Group 6 sports car. Richardson alloy block BDG on approx 200 miles, Lucas mechanical injection (belt driven off the head, not on a flexi drive). FT200 gear box fitted with pumped circulation and cooler to cope with long distance events. High fuel capacity to enable 90 mins running, Fitted with low drag wing, original large barn door with flap also included. Tubular anti roll bars, original solid ones also included. Curved vane Alcon disks on new bells. Exhaust system running on spring mounts, Silenced and straight through tailpipes both in stainless. Running on modern OZ wheels, 4 sets original Dymags also included Comprehensive spares package new drive hubs, castings, wheel nuts, radiators, roll bars inlet trumpets, belts, Lucas Opus control box, new front disk bells, and history file including race set up data.
In need of recommissioning (crack test, fuel cell, safety equipment due to lack of use recently, but priced accordingly.
