1968 Land Rover Series IIA 88” 7 Seater. 2. 25 Petrol Manual / Overdrive. An absolutely outstanding Land Rover that has been subject to a complete nut and bolt restoration and is the best we have had. Only 2 previous owners from new and with the last for 11 years who meticulously restored this Series 2 with no regard to cost. A letter from the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust confirms the Land Rover was built at the Lode Lane factory on 12th December 1967. Fast forward many years to when the restoration began. A new galvanised chassis was the starting point for the rebuild which is all recorded in three photograph albums containing a huge amount of pictures detailing the works carried out. Everything was either rebuilt, repaired or replaced and the result is the stunning vehicle you see today. The attention to detail is second to none and no single item was missed in the build. As you would expect the L. R starts on the button and runs and drives without fault, the rebuilt engine and overdrive gearbox operating perfectly. The car comes complete with a large history folder full of bills and invoices detailing parts and services purchased during the build. Although now tax and mot exempt a fresh mot will be applied for your own peace of mind. This will easily fit into any collection and is certainly a show stopper in our opinion.
