This Land Rover was the subject of a light restoration back in 2015 and has been used sparingly since (less than 1, 000 miles) and in fact appears to have been used quite sparingly throughout it’s entire life. Some MOT certificates (not all) going back to 1970 when the mileage at that time was 26, 9753 showing mileages of as little as 50 some years.
At some point prior to 1970 this Land Rover has had an “upgrade” from the 1. 6lL engine (which can be quite problematic) a later 2. 0L speedbor engine. This engine gives a much smoother and nicer drive.
As well as old MOT certificates, there is also a copy of the original “buff” log book – showing that it was first registered on 18th October 1949.
Comes with full soft top, but so much fun to use “open” as well.
A great addition to any enthusiasts car garage and certain to appreciate in value in the future.
