The Aston Martin DB4GT Zagato race car was built on an original series 1 Aston Martin DB4, with a shortened chassis to GT specifaction and a perfect lightweight aluminium body by Shapcraft of Northampton.
The engine was uprated to 4. 2 race specifaction to 385 bhp by Aston Engineering, who also fitted a short shift close ratio gearbox and matching rear axle.
The complete suspension and braking system was also up-rate to race specifaction. Full race alloy fuel tank and fuel lines. A true race cars in all departments.
