1978 Mini 1275 GT in classic Inca Yellow with a black roof. This stunning 1275 GT has been rebuilt using a new Heritage body shell giving the new owner complete piece of mind. It has been built to a very high standard by an experienced owner who works in the motor trade restoring high end classic cars for a living. Every part has been carefully cleaned, refinished or replaced and the end result is very striking. The engine was rebuilt by Southam Mini Metro Centre and rebored to 1310 cc with a balanced crank, balanced flywheel, stage 2 cylinder head and twin 1. 5 SU carburettors. A 3 branch free flowing exhaust manifold has also been used and the specification is similar to the Special Tuning conversion offered back in the 70’s. The gearbox was rebuilt with a cross pin diff and central oil pick up. The suspension is fully adjustable with new Hi Low’s and shock absorbers. The brakes are new and it has new10 inch Minilites with Yokohama tyres. The interior is immaculate with new Newton Commercial door cards and re-trimmed basket weave 1275 GT black vinyl seats. New quality carpets have been used and the overall effect is very pleasing. The boot is immaculate where you will also find a new matching spare wheel. Due a new Body Shell being used the panel gaps are great and the whole car gives great confidence. The shell was painted 2 years ago but the project has only been completed this year. It has now completed around 100 dry miles and is running very well. A new Heritage Body shell painted costs around £12000 so the cost of such a car allowing for the donor car, mechanical and interior rebuild would cost in excess of £20, 000 if you could do all of the work yourself or substantially more if you were to employ someone to professionally do the work for you.
