HERE is my stunning 1970 Rover 3500 V8 auto in Zircon Blue. She is in the most superb condition and the bulk of her is original.
Let me bullet point a few of the major facts here:
* Bought new in 1970 and remained with the same family until 2008.
* Covered just under 60k miles between 1970 and 1976 when the original owner died. Has just 61k on the clock now!
* Spent 32 years in the family garage between 1976 and 2008.
* Came out of hibernation and was given no expense spared re-commission (not a restoration by any stretch of the imagination) at a cost then of £3500.
* Condition is excellent with such bonuses as original floors (untouched) in factory Zircon Blue. Original cream leather interior excellent also, and she drives beautifully.
So, mmm. What else can I say? A 50-year-old car with a genuine 61k on the clock and 32 years of hibernation behind her.
Panels are excellent as is paintwork. Lift the rear seat bases and she is all original. A unique car in my opinion.
Even the stickers (under the bonnet) look to be 50 years old and not modern day replicas.
