Mgb Roadster-1966 MK1 in Old English White. This car has been subject to an extensive rebuild over the last few years as follows:-?Body is very solid with no corrosion issues, new inner and outer sills and castle rails fitted. The underside is sprayed with white 2 pack the rest is Old English White cellulose over 2k primer. The underneath is like new and super clean. Suspension - rebuilt with all new bushes, front springs and negative camber lower arms. The engine and engine bay again are all detailed to show standard. The engine is fully reconditioned and has covered less than 1000 miles. Most ancillaries have been replaced new or refurbed. There is the addition of new oil cooler and the upgrade to a spin on oil filter. The interior is in superb order with original Smiths gauges which all work. New carpets and trim panels. Inertia seat belts have been fitted.?Chrome is all good except rear bumper which is starting to pit and would benefit from a replacement. It’s acceptable but the rest of the car warrants an inexpensive replacement .?Hood is in good condition. Being a MK1 this is fully detachable to give its sleek sporty look. There is a full tonneau cover with centre zip included. Stainless sill plates have been added.?New wiring loom, generator, regulator, converted to single 12 volt with an isolator .?Brakes - all new hydraulics ie master cylinder, callipers, wheel cylinders, pipes and hoses.?Wheels have been resprayed and fitted with 4 new tyres, spare has good tread?Fuel system - all pipes and hoses renewed also fuel pump and carbs overhauled.?The clutch was replaced when engine was out and being rebuilt so has also done less than 1000 miles. ?The exhaust is stainless steel
The attention to detail on this roadster is amazing and costly. The car was built to use and drive not to be a trailer queen and never driven. So this is not a 25k trailer queen but it is exceptional, especially with the details that are very often not done. Plus being an early MK1 which is mechanically excellent and drives superb we don’t think it will be for sale for long.
