The Appeal
The TR4A hid some significant changes under discreet badges and a largely unchanged Michelotti body. Just as well, because these are very pretty cars. Those changes involved the back of the car where a new independent rear suspension (IRS) set up transformed how these cars drove.
Naturally, the TR4A is the classic Coventry convertible you want. This car retains its correct New White over black colour scheme following a restoration 10 years ago. That work is said to have included replacing many panels and refurbishing the chrome. The painted wires have also been renovated and fitted with what we are told are newish tyres. The car also has rare Surrey top. It left the factory with the desirable overdrive option.
The vendor tells us that the car has been well maintained, as evidenced by the large history file. This has included a recent service and carburettor tune. It is fitted with a stainless steel exhaust.
The TR4A is an engaging and characterful alternative roadster. This looks to be a very usable and tidy example, with scope to improve if the buyer wishes.

Ciao, dalle foto sembra che il telaio sia arrugginito sul lato destro. È corretto, e c'è ruggine anche sui fondi?
