Beschreibung

1965 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray C2 327 V8 4 Speed Manual. Finished in original Nassau Blue metallic paint with matching blue leather bucket seats and carpeting. Fitted with factory side exhausts, 4-wheel power disc brakes and aluminium Knock-Off wheels fitted with BF Goodrich Gold line radial tyres.

Manufactured at the A. O. Smith plant in Ionia, Michigan on the 5th of January 1965 and fitted with a ‘small-block’ V8 built at the Flint engine plant on the 28th of December 1964. The History file has a copy of the original sales invoice for US $4, 900. 88 from Schwyn Brothers Chevrolet of Michigan to a Mr Frank Tennant on January 22nd, 1965. Only 759 Stingrays were produced with this specification in 65. 

Fully restored in the USA prior to its importation into the UK in 2015 winning 1st prize “Best Classic Corvette” at the Classic American Car Show Tatton Park July 2016. As well as presenting in its as restored immaculate order the car’s original 300hp 327ci ‘Turbo-Fire’ V8 mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox makes for a highly spirited and involved driving experience. In fact, quite amazing considering this Corvette is now 57 years old.

This matching numbers C2 comes with a detailed History File back as far as its factory dispatch data and original Dealer Invoice along with invoicing for additional UK expenditure in excess of £20, 000 from the previous owner who was a member of the National Corvette Restorers Society (NCRS) along with photos detailing the engine removal and rebuild.

Immaculately maintained and presented and arguably the best paint and trim combination you could have had for a Corvette in 1965, or indeed 2022. What’s not to like?!
