Description
Here we have a very special example of a very rare Norton Commander in a really lovely condition with just 288 miles on on the clock. I brought it with only 136 miles on the clock (19/ 02/ 21) with all the purchase paperwork from the Norton Factory, including all correspondence prior with first owner with invoices and lots more including the original V5. This machine was designed for the Police in mind but build for the public. Chassis no 4106. Having enjoyed the pleasure of owning and riding this unique motorcycle its now time for someone who understands a twin rotary to experience both riding and owning one. Is it perfect no not quite. A little work on the front forks (oxidation) remembering it has a Xj900 front end, and rear crash bars caused when removing from storage. Body work is A1. It comes with two sets of original keys. If you really want one of these machines this is possibly one the best examples you will find in the World. You only live once. don't miss it!!First Registered 05/ 07/ 89 MOT done 14/ 04/ 21 now Sworn off road. what I did to make it ridable? before getting it MOTd I just replaced both the tyres, both Batteries and both horns (with original Italian spec) and one fuel filter. It rides as you would expect a new motorcycle too with the engine operating as new. Having been started regularly as per manufacturers recommendations it starts first time every time. Where has this machine been for well over 30 years? its been hidden away in storage in a collectors garage along with many cars including several RX7s.
