For sale is my 1993 e36 318is in dunkelblau, which is not a colour you see often in e36s being an e30 colour.
I am the 3rd owner, with the last owner having it since 1993. It hadn't run in 10 years until I purchased it.
Since buying it, its been subject to a mechanical overhaul. Work carried out consists of;
•New fuel pump and sender units
•Clutch and slave cylinder
•Gearbox selector shaft seal
•Shift linkage bushes
•Bmw z3 2. 8 short shift kit
•Over tank brake pipes
•Braided brake hoses
•High temp brake fluid
•EBC Yellow stuff front pads, green stuff rear, new discs all round.
•ST Suspension 40/ 40 suspension kit (lower but also very comfy)
•Lower control arm bushes
•Waterpump and thermostat
•Full inspection II service which replaces every fluid and filter
•Waterpump - thermostat gasket (which involved removing the bead so head gasket replaced too)
•Powerflex rear trailing arm bushes
•Full geometry setup
•Battery
The chassis itself is solid, and being very early doesn't have skirts to hide any rot. Any surface corrosion found I have cleaned and sealed.
It has a full 12 month ticket which it flew through, so with all the major works done, it should be ready for the next owner to enjoy for years to come.
The m42 engine and gearbox are smooth and without fault.
The main down side is the paint. There is a fair amount of lacquer peel which will mean itll need a repaint at some point, and it was very swirly which I have tried my best to rectify.
The only corrosion on the car is on the drivers rear arch, which has just started to go on the inner lip. I have treated and sealed the inner lip to prolong it from getting worse.
Another downside is the headliner has sagged (very common in e36s), I've pinned it up so it's not drooping on the drivers head.
The car is ready to view, I do have a recall booked in at main dealer on the 6th march so will be ready to collect from the 7th.
Car can come on either the 16s pictured, or the orginal 15 inch style 13 bottle tops.
I have a folder of over 100 photos to verify all work carried out to this car, plus I have stamped the service book for all of the relevant works.
