Reluctantly selling our S124 220TE. We've owned this for nearly three years and hadn't planned on selling it (hence the long list of work carried out below) but circumstances have changed so it's now up for sale. We have used it as a family car for long journeys and holidays and made sure anything that was due for replacement or looking a little tired was tackled ensuring a safe and reliable car. Work carried out includes:
New rear suspension accumulators
New thermostat
New coolant hose and coolant flush
New heater valve
New HD throttle spring
Cleaned the throttle body and intake
New vacuum lines and intake bungs
New nsr window reg and motor
New front discs and pads
New rear discs and pads
New handbrake shoes
New front to rear brake line, front lines and rear lines
New fuel line
New brake hoses front and rear
New drivebelt tensioner damper and drive belt
New Uniroyal Rainsports all round
New rear subframe bushes
New engine mount
New gearbox mount
New gearbox sump and filter
New propshaft donuts and centre bearing
New head gasket
New osr tailight
New mirror switch
New bonnet insulation.
The car has had three full services in the time we've owned it (all filters and plugs) and there is probably more work carried out which I have forgotten! It's not perfect bodily with a few marks and scratches (pictured) but no major dents as I had a dent man go over it 12 months ago. The O/ S wing has been painted at some point and the N/ S is showing light bubbling but could be caught at this point. Inside is very tidy, a little wear to the driver's bolster but the rest are fantastic, I had a replacement driver's heel pad made for the genuine mats as the original was wearing through, all the electrics work (sunroof, mirrors, windows, heater fan etc), there are no warning lights and everything illuminates. If you're looking for a mechanically sorted and reliable S124/ W124 that won't cost a fortune to run then I don't think you'll do much better. Genuine enquiries please.
