for sale my 1985 GPZ900 R. its an A2 model in the rarer blue and silver paint scheme. bought as a rough but good running project about 8 years ago and comprehensibly restored from a bare frame upwards over about three years. it would be easier to list what hasn't been restored or replaced on this bike. its like a brand new machine. paint was done by me and the seat was refurbished. the whole suspension was rebushed and replaced including fork internals, anti dive and rear shock and linkages. tyres, discs, caliper internals, pads etc all new and all the hydraulics are using silicon fluid. header pipes were rechromed. the exhaust cans are Jama items and are excellent. engine was very good so was serviced and new gaskets and repainted. the bike performs perfectly and has a fresh mot and has covered about a thousand miles since completion and has no issues. cooling system works as it should as this can be a problem on these bikes. cooling fan relays and temp sender and thermostat were all replaced. a stunning example of this model in excellent condition. selling to reduce collection and dont really use sports bikes anymore.
