Descrizione
Originally registered as Princess 2 2000 HL in 1981 with special Snapdragon yellow paintwork from a short production run in this colour in the summer of 1980, and believed to be the only one left in Snapdragon. Genuine 53, 400 miles.
I have owned this car since 2003 and since then I have gradually modified it adding the optional 14” alloy wheels, black coachlines, satin black rear light surrounds, bumpers and specially made ST 'Special Tuning' decals & badges.
In 2004 the 2. 0 litre O-series engine was upgraded using off-the-shelf parts available from the Leyland Special Tuning (ST) Pluspac range with twin SU carburettors, electronic ignition and a Maniflow exhaust. In 2017 the engine was rebuilt and the opportunity was taken to convert it to a manual gearbox although the log book still states it's an automatic as it can't be changed.
Drives extremely well with great performance and a smooth ride and has been incredibly reliable.
Inside it has Recaro sports seats with height adjustable drivers seat and rear seat belts, a rev counter, a BL sports steering wheel, a digital clock and silver dials.
Lots of service history comes with this car including old MoT's and invoices. This car has featured in several classic car magazines over the years and many times at NEC Classic Motor Shows on the Leyland Princess club stand.
Corgi and Oxford die-cast have produced models of this car.
This car is VED and MoT exempt.
